Steve Savage "King of the Beasts" Age 7

“Buddy!” “Buddy!” the voice whispered in his head;
So menacingly evil, his spirit shrunk back in dread.
“Who are you? What do you want?” the little boy asked in fear,
Then started to run as fast as he could home to Mommy Dear.
“Mom, the Devil’s talking to me and no one can hear but me;
He keeps saying that I’m crazy and if I kill you he’ll let me be.”
Dismissed as a child’s imagination, mother gave him a hug and kiss;
How could anyone really know the dark reason for all of this?
Asleep alone at Nana’s house, the boy was wakened as before;
The evil voice that spoke to him seemed to come from behind the door.
The little boy prayed the “Hail Mary,” a prayer he learned that day;
Suddenly a light shone across the room in a blessed blinding ray.
The silhouette of the Holy Mother appeared on the window shade;
As her golden light grew brighter, the evil voice began to fade.
The boy called out “Help me Mommy; there’s something in my room!”
But everyone fled from that sight as though it was the Day of Doom.
The evil voice that tortured the boy never came back to him again;
The Blessed Mother saved the child even before he said “Amen.”
